As Aksu Piliç, we have been operating in the food sector since 1979 with an approach based on reliable, high-quality and sustainable production. True success means acting in accordance with the law, ethical values and our responsibilities towards society while offering reliable products to our consumers, and creating lasting value for all our stakeholders.

In line with this understanding, compliance is not merely a matter of Aksu Piliç meeting its legal obligations; it is one of the fundamental elements of our corporate culture and the way we do business. We take our decisions in accordance with the principles of integrity, transparency, accountability and responsibility, and we conduct our business processes within the framework of these values.

We are conscious of the responsibility that comes with operating in the food sector. We regard it as our fundamental duty to uphold high standards across all areas of compliance — from food safety and product quality to employee health and safety, from the protection of personal data to environmental responsibility, and from the fight against corruption to respect for human rights.

Compliance with competition law rules is also an indispensable part of this approach. We believe a fair and transparent competitive environment is of great importance for the protection of our consumers, the encouragement of innovation and the sustainable development of our sector. We take our commercial decisions independently, in line with our own assessments and business strategy, and we conduct our activities with respect for competition law and the principles of fair trade.

We recognise that a culture of compliance cannot be created through written policies and procedures alone. Strengthening this culture depends on our managers setting an example, our employees making informed decisions, and on risks being raised openly. For this reason we continue to raise our employees' knowledge and awareness of compliance and to maintain our fully compliant approach to regulation.

Every one of our employees, whatever their role or title, plays an important part in protecting the reputation and ethical values of Aksu Piliç. We expect our employees to consult the relevant managers and the compliance department whenever they have doubts about any decision or practice, and to raise in good faith any matter they believe may be contrary to the law or to ethical principles. We regard questions and concerns raised in good faith as an important opportunity to become a stronger and more trustworthy organisation.
